Don´t let your natural hair be an excuse for not going to the gym, or going for a run in your neighborhood. There are a few simple things you can do to protect your natural hair while burning those calories. We´ve got 4 tips for you:
- Always put your hair up: It’s important that your hair does not touch your face to minimize contact with sweat. We recommend using a satin lined headband, to protect your edges.
- Keep it loose: Don´t pull your hair (and your edges) by putting a tight pony, keep your hair loose but secure.
- Work out when it’s cooler: If you go for a run, consider early in the morning when the weather is cooler. If you go to the gym, work out where it´s cooler.
- Refresh your scalp: Don’t shampoo your hair after every workout, use dry shampoo as an alternative instead. You can also use a moisturizer or leave-in conditioner, plus don´t forget to deep condition.
